Our NEW! Venue is the Arenas del Mar Hotel, a quiet -Only Adults- Dwelling where our need for silence and looking within will be fulfilled.  We feel very grateful & peaceful for this joining.

 

Away from the noise of the touristic Tenerife, our Arenas del Mar Beach & Spa Hotel is located at El Médano. What used to be a traditional fishermen's town in Tenerife South, has now become a dwelling for those seeking harmony with nature.  El Médano, known around the world by the windsurf & kitesurf community, offers us the exotic La Jaquita beach with its dark volcanic sands and ample walks.

We offer beautiful renovated rooms for 3 people sharing, 2 sharing and individual rooms as well.  All rooms are exactly the same and most of them have a fantastic view of the mountain and El Medano area. 

 

They include:

  • 1 bedroom (with 3, 2 or 1 single beds)

  • 1 bathroom (with hair dryer, bathtub, & air conditioning)

  • Free WiFi connection in every room

  • 1 terrace with a patio set

  • We do offer a few rooms for 4 sharing

 

Your room will be provided with clean bedding and shower towels.   Ideally you will bring a beach towel for sitting on the sand/garden. 

 

Upon sending us your Registration Form, please tell us if you are coming with friends to share a room so we can book you together. Let us know as much about you as you feel we need to know so your stay with us is a happy joyful one.

The TENERIFE EASTER Enlight Festival now offers at The Arenas de Mar 4 stars Hotel a deliciously sorted buffet and 'show cooking'. With all our love, we are committed to catering for varied tastes.  Let us know if you have preferences or special needs.  

 

We will be offering a varied vegetarian/non-vegeterian menu every day, with a warm smile and a receptive heart. The hotel will kindly be offering us a reserved area in their beautiful dining room, so we can be eating in quiet prayer and devotion. Their experienced service and deliciously sorted meals will be everyone's delight.

Snacks are included

There is  a Coffee and Snack Bar that runs between meals in the pool area. It offers hot & cold drinks (non alcoholic) from 10h to 23h and snacks (varied sandwiches, ice cream & varied sweet pastries) from 11h to 18h. These snack are also INCLUDED in your Prayer Package.  

El Medano - Tenerife South

 

El Medano (Spanish, "The sand dune") is a town in the municipality of Granadilla de Abona, on the island of Tenerife, one of the Canary Islands.

It is a place of strong winds and has been the site for various windsurfing competitions and championships. 

 

El Medano area offers one of the world's best windsurfing/kitesurfing locations, with three different windsurfing spots, the Bay (flat/swell), the Harbour Wall (wavespot sideshore), and Cabezo Beach (wavespot onshore). The main bay is divided into three areas, the general sailing area with very good entry and exit points, the swimming area, marked by a chain of buoys and the Pigs bay, which is to be avoided because of security reasons.

 

The town is located near the largest natural beaches of Tenerife, the Playa Grande and the Playa Tejita. Between the beaches is La Montaña Roja ("The Red Mountain"), a volcanic cone that is a protected natural reserve. It's a great place to relax and wind down. There is a large town square in front of the main beach with many restaurants we you can take a coffee or eat Spanish tapas or sea food. El Medano is located just south of the Reina Sofia airport, located in the south of Tenerife. 

Directions & Transport

AIRPORT:  The Arenas del Mar Hotel is located in the southern part of the island of Tenerife, only 10 minutes away from the Reina Sofia Tenerife Sur Airport.

 

From the highway, please take the exit towards San Isidro and drive to the town called El Medano, which is about 5 kms. from the airport. Upon arriving to the entrance of the town, take the first turn left which will take you to the area called 'La Pelada'. Just before getting there, you will find the 'La Jaquita' beach and the hotel, which are both about 2kms from the El Medano town. 

 

BY BUS OR BY TAXI: El Medano can be reached by Bus or by Taxi from the airport for 12 to 15 euros. See    www.titsa.com   for bus timetables.

  • Warm clothing for the morning & the nights, it will probably still be a little chilly

  • Footwear for walking on sandy beaches 

  • Swim wear as the temperature might be warm enough at times

  • An extra beach towel will also be useful
